TENANTS ALLOWED TO DECLARE TAXES ONLINE
According to the law, lessors must quarterly declare and pay personal income tax and value added tax on rental incomes. Therefore, the deployment of tax declaration and payment services for this group of taxpayers will save costs. Specifically, taxpayers log on the website of the General Department of Taxation (gdt.gov.vn), follow instructions, fill out forms, and enter telephone numbers and email address and submit. After they receive an authentication code on their mobile phone, they enter it into the website. After that, tax authorities will send a notice of transaction account to their email. On due date, taxpayers use this account to declare taxes online.
Furthermore, tax offices will deploy electronic registration fee payment. At present, the General Department of Taxation reached an agreement with the Traffic Police Department on transmission methods of electronic payment receipts of automobile and motorcycle registration fees and build information exchange regulations between the two organisations. As regards electronic tax refund, the Ministry of Finance will issue an amended circular on VAT refund and complete electronic reimbursement process for deployment in 2016.
